Day 5: Phnom Penh – Siem Reap (B/D)

Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Angkor complex is one of the most important archaeological sites in South-East Asia as it contains the outstanding remains of the different capitals of the Khmer Empire, from the 9th to the 15th Century.
Today, set off to encounter the beautiful temples which are considered as Angkor’s jewel. Transfer from to Ta Prohm, perhaps most popularly known as The Tomb Raider temple. Built in the late 12th and early 13th Centuries as a Buddhist temple dedicated to the mother of Jayavarman VII, this beautiful temple is the photogenic and atmospheric combination of trees growing out of the ruins and the jungle surroundings. The magnificent tree roots have merged over the centuries with the temple’s huge stone blocks, emphasizing a ‘forgotten city’ feeling.
Explore the ancient Angkor Thom, founded by King Jayavarman VII in the 12th Century and was one of the largest Khmer cities and remained the capital until the 17th Century. Get inside the reinforced city of Angkor Thom to admire the mysterious Bayon temple, crowned with the large number of serene faces sculpted on its towers. Also, take this chance to learn more about the intricate carvings of the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King.
Enjoy a lunch at the local restaurant before heading back to the hotel, the remainder of the day is at leisure. Dinner and overnight at The Beige Siem Reap.

Day 7: Siem Reap (B)

Early rider! We discover the Angkor Wat- one of the modern wonders of the world during the sunrise. Be amazed by the sheer size of the temple and learn how the Khmer Empire prospered between the 9th and 13th century, around the time when Angkor Wat was built. Heading to the hotel for breakfast and rest.
In the afternoon, we set off with a qualified driver for a sunset trip through Khmer countryside villages from the back of a unique vantage point of a quadbike, providing an insight into a different side of Siem Reap observing the real Khmer lifestyle and taking in sights of the peaceful rural scenery. After a full briefing on how to drive the bikes and safety instructions, enjoy the ride through the backstreets of Siem Reap, and then over dirt trails that traverse the local communities. Take in the sights and sounds of rural Cambodia as we pass houses on stilts by the river, water buffalos, cows being herded home, and many happy friendly kids waving and saying hello. Make a stop in the heart of a paddy field to admire a stunning view of the setting sun as it dips into the western sky. Feel the peace and serenity of an untouched countryside area before heading back to downtown.

This evening, save room for an exciting street food tour get a fascinating insight into Khmer food. Transfer by local tuk-tuk to the local night market to enjoy the tantalizing sights smells and flavors of local specialties. Stroll through the alleys and side streets around the old market area to savor real Cambodian snacks, carefully selected for cleanliness and standards as the local people do, including grasshoppers, spiders, cockroaches, or crickets. Followed by a local beer if you so wish to wash all the tasty morsels down. Then, head to a local restaurant where the authentic Khmer Cuisine is served.

Day 8: Siem Reap – Luang Prabang (B/D)

Today, we board our afternoon flight to Luang Prabang. Set in Laos's northern mountains, at the confluence of the Nam Khan and Mekong rivers, Luang Prabang reflects an intricate blend of French and Buddhist influences. The city is a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site and has been named "The best-preserved city in Asia".
Upon arrival, greetings & transfer to the outskirt of Luang Prabang town, we check in the Rosewood and spend out 03 night in the Hilltop. Dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Luang Prabang (B/L)

After breakfast, we transfer to the local pier for a short ferry boat ride across the river to Chomphet district. Upon disembarkation, we start clycling to visit Xiengman village. Enroute, we stop to visit a local school, a local temple. Enjoy the beautiful view over Luang Prabang town from the opposite side of the river as we also cycle along the river bank. Continue our journey to a local village where will stop at local house. Chatting with the hosts to know more about their local life, joining them cooking local food then enjoying a home-hosted lunch before getting back to the ferry boat pier for our return trip.

Following, we head out to Kuang Si Waterfall, a multi-tiered cascade of spring water flowing over limestone formations into vibrant turquoise pools, en-route stop at the local villages of Lao ethnic minority groups. Follow the unpaved trail as it gradually climbs through the forest to reach different levels of natural blue pools, some are shallow and one central pool has a rope swing. Within the area, Kuang Si Bear Rescue Center, home to more than 20 Asiatic Black Bears rescued from dire circumstances is located. The bears live in an enclosure with lots of trees, swings, and other things to play with. From a viewing platform we can observe them as they play or search for food.

Day 10: Luang Prabang (B/L)

We get up early this morning to experience the Alms Giving Ceremony which is a very unique experience that should not be missed while in Luang Prabang. Every morning during the sunrise, people line on the streets in order to offer alms to the Buddhist monks. Leaning from a legend which said that when people offer alms to the monks, their family’s member from the “other life” also could receive some. This ceremony therefore has been carrying on in Luang Prabang for many generations. We are always welcome to participate this amazing culture. We also visit a local market where we would find many kinds of local product, tasting some simple food that local people using for breakfast every day. Transfer back to the hotel for freshen up & breakfast.

Later, we visit the Royal Palace featuring the combination of the French beaux-arts styles and traditional Laos architecture. The palace is now turned to a National Museum boating the precious collections of the Royal artifacts. Built during the 16th century, Wat Xieng Thong is one of the most beautiful temples of Buddhist art and architecture in Luang Prabang. Its roofs sweep low to the ground while the idiosyncratic ‘tree of life’ mosaic set on its exterior western wall and detailed mosaics, sculptures of rare Buddhist gods, and elaborate wall carvings make Wat Xieng Thong a must-visit site for any visitor to Luang Prabang.
In the late afternoon, we visit Wat Mai meaning “New Temple”. This is the largest and most splendidly decorated temple of Luang Prabang. The most impressive structure of Wat Mai is its five tiered roof. It’s also be known as the new monastery of the city. Taking this opportunity to join chanting with the local monks while visiting inside this temple.

Day 11: Luang Prabang – Chiang Rai (B)

Today, we drive to visit Wat Rong Khun, also known as the White temple. From an idea of Chalermchai Kositpipat - a famous Thai artist, this temple was begun building in 1997 and it supposed to take many more years to have the work done. After that, we drive on to the Golden Triangle area where the mighty Mae Khong River joining the Ruak River and forming the triangle with the borders of Thailand, Burma, and Laos convene. We also visit the Opium Museum. Enjoy our lunch before heading back to our tent. The remainder of day is at leisure. Overnight in Chiang Rai.

Day 13: Chiang Rai (B)

Take in the gorgeous natural beauty of Chiang Rai's rural landscape. Ideal for cycling enthusiasts, this off-the-beaten-path excursion follows a paved but hilly trail that's designed exclusively for you. The route, led by a dedicated Camp Guide, takes you through lush green paddy fields, pineapple and rubber plantations, and a splendid teak forest. Take a break with a personalized snack at Bau Luang Lake, before heading back to the Camp. This experience is managed by the hotel’s concierge team.

Day 14: Chiang Rai – Koh Yao Noi (B)

We transfer to the airport for our flight to Phuket.
Arriving in Phuket, we transfer to the local pier then getting to Koh Yao Noi by travelling in the long-tail boat, a traditional boat style of Thailand. We enjoy the amazing scenery during the ride on Phang Nga Bay as we pass many limestone islands, until reaching the beach of 9 Hornbills Tented Camp- the only resort (adult-only) that offers luxury African Safari-Style tents in the area.

Day 15-16: Koh Yao Noi (B)

There are numerous activities that offered by the resort for our various experience about the island and the surrounding area, such as: Mountain Biking, Bird Watching, Mangrove Walkway, Rock Climbing, Water Sports (Paddling, Kayaking, Snorkeling, Diving…), Cooking Classes, Yoga Classes, Spa …
